In our visual journals we created an all I know about light page.
Today we explored subtracting using the standard algorithm and representing our thinking using base ten blocks.
We explored when the letters e a r together make the ear sound. Then we compared e a r words the make the air or ear sound.
WILL YOUR CHILD BE AWAY FOR EID AL-FITR ON MARCH 31 AND APRIL 1?
If your child will be absent from school on Monday, March 31 and/or Tuesday, April 1 for Eid al-Fitr, please call the absence line at 403-817-3444 (Ext. 1) as soon as possible so we can record the absence ahead of time. Thanks in advance for your help with this!
Reminders:

Our Parent/Teacher/Student Learning Conferences will be online on Mar 20 and 21. Conferences will be 15-minutes in length for students in Kindergarten to Grade 5.
Families will have received an email with instructions for booking conferences. Once open, parents and guardians must book their own conference time through their MyCBE parent account. (Please use a computer or laptop, not a Smart phone to access your MyCBE account if you are having difficulties.) As well, if needed, translators will be available. Once you have booked you will receive an email with a link that you will use to attend the conference.
