Today we practiced adding the suffixes -er, -ed, es, and -est to words that end with y. We learned that you have change the y to i before adding the suffix.
In math we continued to explore the standard algorithm and showing our understanding.
We played Junk Its, using the standard algorithm, but this time we had to get the smallest sum.
We continued to work on our drafts of our non fiction polar bear books. Today we focused on making sure all of our ideas were connected and on topic.
Next week we will be building a leprechaun trap. If you have recycling supplies at home that could be used for the trap please start sending them to school. Please don't go out and buy anything, only bring things that you already have at home. For example: shoe boxes, piper cleaners, popsicle sticks, yogurt containers etc.
