Today we started our exploration into light! We learned about bioluminescence and about how different plants and animals use it. In grade 2 one of our learning goals is to identify different sources of light. As a class we brainstormed ideas and used those ideas to create a visual journal page about different sources of light.
In math we started exploring different strategies for subtracting two digit numbers. Today we used a hundreds chart to subtract using the value of the tens and ones.
We had a class brainstorming session about what our leprechaun traps might look like after listening to the story "How to Trap a Leprechaun." Then we made our first plan. Stay tuned for our traps later in the week.

Our Parent/Teacher/Student Learning Conferences will be online on Mar 20 and 21. Conferences will be 15-minutes in length for students in Kindergarten to Grade 5.
Families will have received an email with instructions for booking conferences. Once open, parents and guardians must book their own conference time through their MyCBE parent account. (Please use a computer or laptop, not a Smart phone to access your MyCBE account if you are having difficulties.) As well, if needed, translators will be available. Once you have booked you will receive an email with a link that you will use to attend the conference.
