Feb. 19th

In Math we are using different strategies to show our thinking when adding two digit numbers. Today we used a number line to decompose one number and add it to the larger number. Students could decide how they wanted to break up the number.

We are learning about the doubling rule when adding -ed and -ing to words that end with a vowel consonant. We had to add -ed and -ing to different words and decide if we had to double the last letter.

Then we learned what -er and -est mean when added to an adjective. -er means more and -est means most. We used the doubling rule when adding the suffixes to adjectives.

Reminders:
-Winter Walk Friday, dress for the weather
