Then there is a splat that covers some of the dots.
Students then have to show how many dots are covered by the splat. They use an equation to represent their thinking. For example for the splat above 7+1=8 or 8-1=7 so there are 7 dots under the splat.
Today we read this book!
Then we retold the story using jot notes and pictures. Ask me to tell you what happened in the story.
Reminders:-
-For our sounds centres we are in a need of toilet paper rolls and different sized elastics. If you have any at home can you send them to school. We need one toilet paper roll for every student.
