Oct. 28th

Today we read another book all about Diwali! We used what we learned from this book and other books last week. As a class we wrote a plan for our non fiction writing about Diwali. Then we each did our own writing.

Then the rest of the day was all about pumpkin math. First we estimated the weight, height, circumference, and number of seeds. Then we measured the height and circumference using centimetres and the non standard units that were blocks.

Reminders:

-picture retakes Nov. 5th

-Spirit Day: Thursday Dress in: Traditional clothes for Diwali if your family celebrates Diwali / Orange & Black or costume if your family celebrates Halloween / Your regular, everyday clothes if you are most comfortable…the choice is yours-on Thursday we will be sending home our six pumpkins with six students. If you do not want a pumpkin sent home with your student please email at adpenonzek@educbe.ca. It will be a random draw for the pumpkins
