Sept. 24th

This morning we went on our community walk to Coventry School which is our evacuation site in case of an emergency.

As part of learning this week connected to Indigenous ways of knowing we each chose a sit spot. We sat in our spot and noticed what we could see, hear, and feel. Lots of us noticed small things like lady bugs that we would miss if we were not sitting still. Some us noticed that sitting in nature helped us to feel calm.

We read The Eagle Feather. Each of us is creating an eagle feather that is unique. We will be adding it to an outline of an eagles wing that will remind us of our uniqueness and it will serve as a reminder of all of the unique children who attended residential school.

Reminders:

-Orange Shirt Day Thursday
-Open House Thursday 4:30-7
