In Gym we are working on our soccer skills!

Today we learned about verbs and how each sentence needs to have one. We brainstormed as many action verbs in our table groups. Then we used those verbs in our writing.

We also practiced representing two numbers using base ten blocks.

In Math we started representing numbers using place value. We are starting with two digit numbers and will be moving on to three digit numbers soon. Some vocabulary we reviewed today was tens, ones, value, digit, and represents.

Today was exciting as we learned and reviewed some literacy games to add to our literacy rotations! Ask me which one was my favourite.

Today we started exploring themes connected to Remembrance Day. We read "The Peace Book" and used it to inspire our own writing about peace. We focused on making sure our sentences made sense and used correct punctuation.

To demonstrate our understanding of repeating, increasing, and decreasing patterns we are going to create our own pattern city. We used "The Best Surprise" to help us get ideas for our own pattern city! Stay tuned for more to come!
