August 30th

Today we finished out Time Capsules. We will open our time capsules at the end of grade two to see how much we have changed! Ask me what I put in my time capsule. We read Our Class is a Family. Then in our visual journals we each drew ourselves and wrote about how we are going to treat our class family. Thank you for all of the returned forms from yesterday. Please remember to return them if you haven't on Tuesday (there is no school on Monday).

Aug. 29th

We had a busy first day in Grade 2. We learned about where to put our trash, recycling and compost and other school expectations. We created a class I Promise list about how we we are going to be good classmates this year. We created and built during morning maker and started our time capsule.

Please see the yellow folder in backpacks that have a parent questionnaire and I am a Responsible Digital Citizen. Please fill out and return as soon as possible. Please also take a look at online forms that need to be completed.

Welcome to Grade 2!

  1. GRADE 2 ROSE

Welcome! We are so excited to be starting the 2024-2025 school year with you! This year, our whole school will be using Blogger to make regular agenda posts.

To make it easier for you, you can add the blog right on to the home screen of your phone or iPad by following the directions on the “Adding Blogger to Home Screen” document. We hope this makes the communication between home and school easier and opens up great conversations between you and your child.

The CBE and Mrs. Brinson will be communicating information to you through School Messenger email titled ‘Northern Lights News for ___”. This email will include a link to the Northern Lights School Website so messages can be translated into any language.

To make sure you receive these email messages, please SUBSCRIBE using the email address you gave to the school.
