Sept. 4th

Today we read the book You Might Be Special!. We then created an all about me puzzle. Unfortunately Ms. Penonzek forgot to take pictures of the amazing puzzles, but ask me what I had on my pieces.  





We got to know our classmates better by having to find someone who...

We read The Day You Begin which is all about being unique and yet how everyone has similarities. We demonstrated how we are unique and different by sharing one unique thing about ourselves while creating a web that connected us.

Sept. 3rd

Today we continued to learn routines including exploring our classroom library.

We read Hooray for You! Then we used the book to inspire us to think about four numbers that represent us. Check out our visual journal pages!







We also started How Many Ways. In this Math routine students have to represent a number with as many equations as they can!


 

We also practiced sorting items into the green, blue, or black bin. Here is the link to play at home. Sort It

Sept. 2nd

 Our first day of Grade 2 was a busy one. We started to learn new routines and one of them was Morning. Maker.




We read I Promise and made a class promise about how we are going to make our classroom a great place to be!



We went to Mrs.Stewart's room to listen to a story and talk about what to do in emergencies. We have gym with her class!


This week we are making a time capsule for the end of Grade 2. Today we traced our hand and foot.
